Among the eight finalists representing the best of European industrial and product design, the winners of this year’s DesignEuropa Awards were announced in an exciting ceremony which took place in Warsaw.
The winners of the EUIPO’s DesignEuropa Awards 2018 are:
- The Small and Emerging Companies Award: Air.Go 2.0, an automatic bag drop system, owned by Marcus Pedersen ApS, designed by Sara Clement
- The Industry Award: ARTIS pheno, a robotic C-arm angiography system from Siemens Healthcare GmbH, designed by Nadja Roth and Tobias Reese
In addition to the above two categories, the Lifetime Achievement Award has been given to the German designer, Hartmut Esslinger, as previously announced.
Organised by the EUIPO, the DesignEuropa Awards are aimed at rewarding excellence in design and design management among Registered Community Design (RCD) holders, and contributing to the recognition of companies and designers that have brought outstanding designs to the market with the support and protection of the RCD.
