The European Patent Office (EPO) is organising study visits especially for university students in order to raise and increase awareness of the European patent system. These visits aim to provide hands-on experience of the EPO and offer insight into the work of EPO experts, patent examiners and lawyers.
The first study visit will be held on 17 January 2019 with a focus on patent information and the importance of patent searching for university researchers.
There will be three more visits in 2019 within this framework:
- 27 March: Focus on computer-implemented inventions to EPO the Hague
- 27 June: Focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to EPO Munich
- 10 October: Focus on European patenting procedure and patent law to EPO Munich
